Forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh will not be deprived of support programs after obtaining Armenian citizenship, said Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Davit Khachatryan.

It should be noted that this issue has become a cause for concern for many forcibly displaced Artsakh residents.

“The social status of people will definitely not be related to their legal status. After they become citizens of Armenia, the fact of their forced displacement will not be reduced,” Khachatryan said.

He also stressed that obtaining citizenship cannot affect the provision of social assistance.
