Azerbaijan announces restauration of Surb Harutyun church in Hadrut, calling it ‘Caucasus Albanian’

Azerbaijan announced restoring the Surb Harutyun Armenian church of Hadrut city in occupied Artsakh as a ‘Caucasus Albanian’ church, the Artsakh State Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage reported on Facebook.

“According to the newly developed master plan of Hadrut city, it will be restored in the near future, following the archaeological excavations. Also, it is planned to create in the church a museum representing the ‘[Caucasus] Albanian’ culture,” it said.
