Textbooks sent from Russia have successfully passed the examination in Armenia, and they have been distributed to schools, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan said at a press conference on Wednesday.
“The examination has been completed. Its purpose is simple: any materials entering schools must go through this process. The textbooks that were sent from Russia had to be checked to see if they met our standards. Th textbooks have already been distributed. The textbooks are designed for Russian classes,” she said.
In November, Deputy Chair of the Federation Council of Russia Yuri Vorobyov wrote in his telegram channel that the Armenian Ministry of Education, under the pretext of examination, suspended the process of distributing over 50 thousand Russian textbooks in the country.
The ministry reported that Russian textbooks are being examined according to the Law on General Education, and their distribution to schools has not been suspended.
