Armen Abazyan reappointed as NSS director by PM’s decision

By the decision of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Armen Abazyan was reappointed as Director of the National Security Service.

Earlier today, he was removed from his post by decree of President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

In accordance with the amendments to the “Law on Service in National Security Bodies”, the director and deputies of the National Security Service are considered state officials who are appointed and dismissed by the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia.
