Sergey Smbatyan appointed principal guest conductor of Berlin Symphony Orchestra

The artistic director and chief conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Sergey Smbatyan, was appointed the principal guest conductor of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra (Berliner Symphoniker).

The orchestra reports that the upcoming concert of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra conducted by Smbatyan is expected this year, on February 5.

It should be noted that Sergey Smbatyan has also been the chief conductor of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra since 2019.
