Russia is deeply concerned about the aggravation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and calls on the parties to de-escalate, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a press briefing on Wednesday.
“We are seriously concerned about this. We urge Yerevan and Baku to exercise restraint, take steps to de-escalate, and avoid any actions that could lead to further deterioration of the situation,” she said, adding that the incident near the Armenian village of Nerkin Hand resulted in casualties.
