Exhibition dedicated to Yervand Kochar’s 125th anniversary held in Paris with support of AKNEYE project
With the support of the AKNEYE art project, an exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of artist and sculptor Yervand Kochar was held at the Alex Manoogian Cultural Center in Paris. The event organization was supported by the Embassy of Armenia in France and AGBU of France.
The exhibition entitled ‘Magic Intersections of the Kochar Line’ featured reproductions of the graphic works of the maestro from the Parisian period, made with free, smooth, uninterrupted movements of the hand, using the compression technique.
A video in French, made by the museum, depicting the life of the maestro, as well as the current activities and mission of the Yervand Kochar Museum, was shown to visitors.
Art lovers had the opportunity to see the famous work ‘The Woman and the Rooster’ through a projection, recreated with AKNEYE’s alternative approaches. The painting is believed to be the artist’s self-portrait.
Visitors got acquainted with the innovative solutions of the AKNEYE project, enjoyed the expressions of Yervand Kochar’s boundless imagination and discovered the artist’s uniqueness anew thanks to the installation artworks made with the use of the latest technologies and compression techniques.
