FM: Armenia makes every effort to normalize relations with Azerbaijan as soon as possible

Opening new opportunities in the development of transport and logistics links between Armenia and Kazakhstan is of key importance, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said after a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Murat Nurtleu in Yerevan.

Mirzoyan informed his colleague about the Crossroads of Peace project and the opportunities it opens. In this regard, he stressed that “new logistic opportunities should be based on the principles of sovereignty of countries, equality, and reciprocity.”

Mirzoyan briefed on the situation in the South Caucasus and the normalization process with Azerbaijan.

The Foreign Minister emphasized Armenia’s commitment to the peace agenda, adding that the country is making all constructive efforts for the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and signing a peace agreement as soon as possible.
