At a meeting with residents of border villages in the Tavush region, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that a war may start later this week if Armenia does not compromise with Azerbaijan on the issue of Soviet-era border “exclave villages”.
The footage of the interaction with residents was published by the government’s press service.
“Now we can leave, go and tell [Azerbaijan] that no, we are not going to do anything. This means that the war will start at the end of the week,” he said.
“I know what will happen at the end of this war,” Pashinyan added, explaining that after that, local residents will ask him why he, having information about the risk of possible hostilities, did not warn them in advance.
