US continues to pay close attention to Armenia-Azerbaijan border demarcation

The United States continues to pay close attention to the Armenia-Azerbaijan border demarcation, State Department’s Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel said in a press briefing on Tuesday, commenting on Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about the need for quick border demarcation to avoid war.

According to him, it is not only Secretary Antony Blinken who is focusing on this issue.

“This is an issue that we are continuing to pay close attention to. It’s something that not just the Secretary but Assistant Secretary O’Brien as well as Senior Coordinator Bono are continuing to focus on, engaging with appropriate interlocutors. I don’t have an update for you, though, beyond that,” Patel said.
