Tiran Lokmagozyan: Azerbaijan does not dare tell Russians to leave the region

It is unlikely that one day the Kurds will start an uprising and achieve their goal, turkologist Tiran Lokmagyozyan told Alpha News.
“The first reason is that Erdogan broke them so much that for several years there has been no voice from the Kurds. If there is Kurdistan—which is unlikely but still—it can be friendly with Armenia, but we will have to put paid to Western Armenia because, in front of the whole world, the Turks, as a genocidal nation, know that they took something from the hands of the Armenians and harmed the Kurds. The Kurds are recognized by the whole world as a victimized people. They have lost 30 thousand people, they have been fighting for their rights and land for tens of years,” Tiran Lokmagyozyan said.
According to him, if the Kurds take over Western Armenia, it will be impossible to take it from them.
“If the Kurds take over Western Armenia, then forget about it. One day, the West will change its mind, change its policy, and they will think: okay, let’s help the Armenians, give them their rights, but if they hand over that region to the Kurds, we can’t take it back from them. Theoretically, there is a possibility of taking it from the hands of the Turks, but the probability of taking Western Armenia, even theoretically, from the hands of the Kurds is zero. It is absurd, but for us, it is better for Western Armenia to be in the hands of the Turks than the Kurds,” our interlocutor emphasized.
As for the South Caucasus, the Turkologist noted that Armenians may not exist in this region, but Russians will always exist.
“It is unbelievable that the Russians will leave this region. I tell everyone: you will go, but the Russians will not. In other words, it is possible that there will be no Armenians in this region—as in Artsakh, where there are no Armenians—but Russians will stay. Russians are there to protect Armenians. There are no Armenians in Artsakh, but Azerbaijan does not dare to say: dear Russian, you have nothing to do here; you may leave. Even if this region becomes Turkey, Azerbaijan, or Iran, even if Armenia does not exist, Russians will be here. If Russians leave, our situation will be worse,” the Turkologist warned.
According to Tiran Lokmagyozyan, Armenians have always been traitors; history repeats itself.
“When have we benefited from France and England? We are recognized by the whole world as a traitorous nation because the same thing happened 100 years ago. 100 years ago, we formed a state with Russia. Later, there was a genocide, but since a revolution took place in Russia, the soldiers and people left. We stayed, and what did we do? We immediately turned to the side of Russia’s enemies, started flirting with the French and the English. When the English and French left, we stayed with Russia,” he concluded.
