Cher among Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its list of nominees for induction in 2024. The list includes Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Mary J. Blige, Peter Frampton, Ozzy Osbourne, Dionne Warwick, Norman Whitfield, Alexis Corner, John Mayall, MC5, Suzanne de Passe, and Big Mama Thornton.

Cher has been nominated for the first time. In an interview last year, she shared her thoughts on the ongoing snub, saying the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame “could go you-know-where.”

The winners will be selected by a jury of more than a thousand artists, historians, and music industry representatives and announced this month, with an official ceremony to take place in the fall.
