World famous opera singer Plácido Domingo will perform in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on August 3. The rising star of the opera stage, soprano Nina Minasyan, will join him for the concert.

Nina Minasyan was born in Yerevan, graduated from Yerevan Tchaikovsky Music School. In 2006–2011, she studied at Yerevan State Komitas Conservatory, and in 2010, she graduated from Yerevan Tchaikovsky Music School. In 2010, she became a soloist in the opera studio of Yerevan Conservatory.

Minasyan is a regular participant in shows at leading opera houses, from Milan’s La Scala to New York’s Metropolitan Opera. Critics admire Nina Minasyan’s “pinpoint stratospheric coloratura”.

“With a voice like that, she could wrap any monarch round her little finger,” they write of her Queen of Shemakhan from The Golden Cockerel (Le Coq d’or) at the Lyon Opera.

In January 2023, Plácido Domingo and José Carreras gave a concert in Tokyo, tribute to Luciano Pavarotti in honor of the 20th anniversary of the end of the legendary tour of The Three Tenors. The only special guest of the evening was Nina Minasyan, whom Domingo personally invited to the project and introduced to the audience as “an outstanding Armenian soprano with an incredible voice”.
