Animal rights activist Igor Hayrapetyan’s shelter celebrated its anniversary. Ten years ago, successful businessman Igor Hayrapetyan from the Russian city of Podolsk could not have imagined that he would become an animal rights activist and give shelter to thousands of dogs. He was actually planning to move to another country but ended up using all his funds to help animals and build a shelter.
Since then, Hayrapetyan has helped more than 3,000 of his dogs find a home.
While saving yet another dog, Igor met his future wife, vet Tatyana, who supports her husband in everything and helps him with animals.
The work of the activist was recognized by the Podolsk City Council of Deputies, which presented Igor Hayrapetyan with a letter of appreciation.
