100-year anniversaries of Charles Aznavour and Sergei Parajanov included in UNESCO Calendar of Memorable Dates

During the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Assembly in Paris, it was decided to include the 100th birth anniversaries of the legendary singer Charles Aznavour and the famous filmmaker Sergei Parajanov in UNESCO’s 2024-2025 Calendar of Memorable Dates, the press center of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

The applications were submitted by Armenia together with partner countries and received significant support from a number of member states and other countries.

Previously, the 850th anniversary of the death of Nerses the Gracious (Shnorali) and the 100th anniversary of the Armenian National Cinema Center were included in UNESCO’s Calendar.
