100th anniversary of Sergei Parajanov celebrated in Georgian Tbilisi

The event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the world-famous Armenian film director Sergei Parajanov was held on January 9 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Jnews.ge reported.

The competition dedicated to Parajanov has been held in Georgia since 2015, with representatives of different countries participating.

This time, the event highlighted Armenian culture, songs, dances and music. It was attended by representatives of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Georgia, students, government officials, representatives of the embassy, as well as employees of the Council of Elders of Tbilisi, who in their speech underscored the importance of celebrating this event.

The event concluded with an award ceremony of winners of the competition.
