18 people dismissed as Yerevan bus drivers go on strike

As a result of the bus drivers strike in Yerevan, 18 people have been dismissed from work so far, Yerevan mayor’s spokesperson Hayk Kostanyan announced.

It should be noted that bus drivers went on strike early in the morning, complaining about working conditions and low wages.

The municipality issued a statement saying that the drivers make illogical demands and use blackmail. Tigran Avinyan, the capital’s mayor, said there would be no compromise.
