290 injured and 7 killed in fuel depot explosion in Artsakh

As a result of the explosion that occurred on September 25 at a fuel depot in the Askeran region of Artsakh, multiple medical facilities, including Republican Medical Center, Arevik, Ivanyan and the medical center of Russian peacekeepers, received 290 injured with varying degrees of burns, the Artsakh Ministry of Health reported.

Most of them were transferred to the Republican Medical Center. Tragically, the incident took the lives of 7 people. Dozens injured by the explosion remain in critical condition. 13 unidentified bodies were transferred to the Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination.

Many people are considered missing as they sustained severe burns in the explosion.

Doctors and medical staff in Stepanakert are doing everything possible to save the lives of the victims in these difficult and confined conditions. Additional information will be provided later.
