The ongoing conflict in the Middle East will not end in the foreseeable future, and a new and more dangerous escalation cannot be ruled out. This was stated by Aram Shakhnazaryan, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Aliq, in an interview with Alpha News.

“In my subjective opinion, the conflict will continue for now, and it is quite possible that we will witness a sharp escalation,” Shakhnazaryan said.

He emphasized that a ground operation scenario is currently being actively discussed, and Iran has declared its full readiness for such a development. According to Shakhnazaryan, one month of war has shown that US actions are often irregular and situational in nature.

“American decisions are frequently made under the influence of the moment and lack strategic depth, which leads to deadlock situations,” he noted.
According to Shakhnazaryan, the same could happen in the event of a possible ground invasion. “Given the knowledge of the terrain and logistical challenges, one might assume that a ground attack could turn into a Vietnam-like situation for the United States,” he stressed.
