A significant part of our exports goes to Russia because we understand each other very well, says Vice President of Tashir Group of Companies

Alpha News’ interview with Narek Karapetyan, the first vice president of the Tashir Group of Companies.

According to Narek Karapetyan, the most effective sectors for investing in Armenia are those that are less dependent on cargo transportation.

“We make major investments in knowledge-intensive industries, since these are expensive products that depend quite little on logistics,” Karapetyan said.

In his words, the chances of success in the Russian market for Armenian business are high since both countries share common features.

“We have a common culture; we use a common language. We understand each other very well, and it is easy for us to work together, which is why a significant part of our exports goes to Russia,” Karapetyan noted.

Karapetyan also commented on working under Western sanctions and the quality of the projects presented to the Armenian Businessmen Association.
