Adrin Nazarian: Participation in LA City Council elections will make the voice of the Armenian Diaspora heard

As a representative of Los Angeles City Council, I will be able not only to do more for our local electorate but also to resolve pan-Armenian problems, Candidate for LA City Council Adrin Nazarian told Alpha News.
“In America, people think more about their daily problems than about national ones. They think about streets, about expensive products. As a member of the Los Angeles City Council, I will be able to speak up about Armenian international issues. That is, as a representative of Los Angeles City Council, I will be able not only to do more for our local electorate but also to resolve pan-Armenian problems,” Nazarian said.
Nazarian assures that the active participation of Armenians in the elections will make it possible to make the voice of the Armenian Diaspora heard.
“There are about 400,000 Armenians living in Los Angeles alone. If we want our community to have a voice and sit at the same table with decision-makers, then one of the 15 city council members must be Armenian. There are Armenians in Los Angeles and California who also need help. For example, houses have become more expensive, and construction needs to be increased to reduce prices. Issues like these affect Armenians greatly, but they must remain stable and strong. The more actively Armenians participate in the elections, the more their voice will be heard. By making their voice heard, Armenians will force other candidates to take Armenians and their problems more seriously,” Nazarian concluded.
