AFI selects Sev Ohanian’s Sinners among year’s top films

As is tradition, the American Film Institute (AFI) announced its list of the ten best films of the year at the beginning of December.

Among the selections was Sinners, produced by Sev Ohanian, Ryan Coogler, and Zinzi Coogler. AFI’s top ten also included Avatar: Fire and Ash, Jay Kelly, One Battle After Another, and others.

Earlier this year, the gothic drama Sinners—a story about vampires and blues that explores the intersection of two cultures—received five nominations at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. These included “Best Score Soundtrack,” “Best Compilation Soundtrack,” and three nominations for “Best Original Song.”
