Albert Aleksanjan has signed with Swedish club IFK Norrköping, which competes in Superettan, the country’s second-tier league.

The 19-year-old player, who has a unique background, was born in Latvia, raised in Norway, and has Armenian roots—making him a potential candidate for the Armenian national team. This was announced on the club’s official website.

“My father is from Armenia, my mother is from Latvia, and we moved to Norway when I was three,” Aleksanjan said.

He joined IFK following a standout season with Norwegian club Ull/Kisa, where he recorded 25 goal contributions (16 goals and 9 assists) in the third tier of Norwegian football in 2025. “It was a fast and successful year. I made a big step forward, and now I’m here. I feel great,” he said.
