Azerbaijan and Armenia do not need a third party to hold peace talks, Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev said on Thursday.
“Baku and Yerevan conduct peace talks, and there is no need for a third party. On the contrary, the interference of third countries with regional affairs harms the normalization of relations,” he added.
Hajiyev also noted that the EU should end its mission on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“This mission was supposed to be short-term. However, it is becoming permanent, and its composition and mandate are expanding,” the Azerbaijani presidential aide emphasized.
