Alpha News kicks off a new fall season

Alpha News kicks off a new season. New projects with diverse content are coming on September 23.
“There is a tradition in Armenian TV that new seasons usually begin on Independence Day or the next day. Alpha News is no exception and will try to maintain this tradition. In the first half of the week, we will present our viewers with new social and political projects that touch upon the most pressing issues facing Armenia today,” says Alpha News founder Viktor Soghomonyan.
In the new season, regional observer Ani Avetyan will introduce real narratives coming from Turkey and Azerbaijan. This will be the first project in Armenian media that will present in detail what is thought and said in Turkey and the Turkish media about Armenians and Armenia.
“We must take off rose-colored glasses and understand what is really going on, how we are treated in Azerbaijan and Turkey, and what goals they are pursuing in relation to us. Some things seem to escape our attention, and some are edited so that we do not feel harshness towards us,” notes Viktor Soghomonyan.
The program will be available every Tuesday on YouTube and other Alpha News social platforms.
“Good Armenian Evening in Moscow” is the name of the new project of the Alpha News fall season. To escape from the political bustle, you can watch the project with the participation of Armenian celebrities on the weekend.
“This is an evening show with a concert; the only difference is that our Moscow editorial office invites Armenian stars from Yerevan for one day to hold a concert for Armenians living in Russia, mainly for students. And then the star returns to Armenia,” says the Alpha News founder.
Alpha News will also continue to reveal the best pages of the history of the Armenian people and the figures who created them. Professor Ruben Melkonyan will present a series of portraits.
“This time the series includes 5 portraits that are very interesting, and I would not like to reveal them. They will seem sensational due to our ignorance, although experts have known them for a long time. I will only say that one of the portraits is dedicated to the Armenian Patriarch Vazgen I, who applied diplomatic skills and resolved a rather important issue in international relations during the Cold War,” notes Viktor Soghomonyan.
In the new season, Alpha News will continue to show animated films about the activities of famous people with Armenian roots.
The current projects “Relatives from the North”, “Ethnic Code”, and “Alter Ego” will also receive new releases, and new audiobooks narrating works of Armenian literature will be published.
“We will continue this series, as it is in quite high demand among Diaspora Armenians, allowing them to get acquainted with the gems of Armenian literature without reading. Unfortunately, not everyone speaks Armenian, but many listen in Armenian,” notes Viktor Soghomonyan.
In the weekday, you can watch the main news highlighted by the editorial offices of Yerevan, Moscow, and Los Angeles and understand the content of events related to Armenia.
During this short but meaningful year and a half, Alpha News has tried to provide the most reliable news and analyze its significance for Armenia.
“I think that the concept that we initially developed for Alpha News has found its place in the news life, which I am very happy about. That is, if you want to criticize, go ahead, but the vocabulary you use should be news, not street. Analysts should also be diverse, and their opinions should be substantiated; these are the principles that lead to absolute quality,” emphasizes Viktor Soghomonyan.
Alpha News promises to do more to provide quality and useful products to its audience.
