American illustrator Nadine Takvorian to present novel ‘Armaveni’

Armenian-American author and illustrator Nadine Takvorian will present her autobiographical graphic novel “Armaveni” in March.

The book weaves together two storylines: the life of a girl named Armaveni during the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire; and the journey of Nadine, a contemporary first-gen teen in a far-flung diaspora, searching for her true identity and home.

Published by Levine Querido, the book will mark Takvorian’s debut in the young adult graphic novel genre.
