The American University of Armenia has announced that classes are being held online today “for security reasons and in light of Iran’s threats against American universities in Western Asia and the Middle East.”

It should be noted that on March 29, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps threatened to strike American universities located in the Middle East, stating that US and Israeli strikes had destroyed two Iranian universities.

“If the US government wants its universities in the region to be protected from retaliation, it must, by 12:00 on March 30, officially condemn the bombing of Iranian universities through a formal statement,” read a statement distributed by Iranian media.
