Ankara’s actions to normalize relations with Yerevan are linked to Armenia’s fulfillment of Azerbaijan’s conditions for signing a peace agreement, Erdogan’s chief advisor Cagri Erhan said at a conference in Azerbaijan-occupied Stepanakert.
“Azerbaijan is a country that pursues a policy within its interests in the South Caucasus region, and Turkey supports Azerbaijan’s political steps in this direction,” he added.
He stressed that the resolution of the conflict between Yerevan and Ankara is possible if Armenia recognizes Azerbaijan’s independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty and signs a peace agreement.
