Speaking with Alpha News, Iranian journalist Khayal Muazzin commented on the recent news that US President Donald Trump had threatened Iran with “unprecedented bombings.”

“Our spiritual leader has stated several times that negotiations with America do not deserve respect and will not lead to any result. Washington continues to pursue a strategy of psychological blackmail and strategic escalation. Donald Trump’s latest statement, in which he threatens Iran with unprecedented bombings, is nothing more than an element of informational, psychological warfare, designed not so much to achieve a diplomatic result as to intimidate and create an illusion of determination.

It is obvious that after the complete failure of the US in the war against Yemen, the White House is shifting its focus to Iran, trying to compensate for the strategic defeat through threats. However, the American side understands perfectly well that any military venture against Iran will lead to a regional catastrophe and will threaten not only the interests of the US but also the stability of its allies. Now Washington has moved to the phase of a full-scale psychological attack, the purpose of which is to undermine Tehran’s strategic restraint. Yet history has shown that Iran never succumbs to pressure and any scenario involving threats against Iran is destined to fail,” Muazzin said.
