On February 19, Armenian violinist Ara Malikian announced that he will resume his concerts.

Due to health problems, the violinist has canceled more than 20 concerts over the past two months.

“On January 8, after I got the flu, I was paralyzed in a very strange way. For a few days, I couldn’t feel my limbs and couldn’t move my legs and arms,” he said.

Malikian said that after spending two weeks in the hospital and undergoing various therapies, he gradually regained sensation in his arms and very little in his legs.

“For the first time in almost 2 months, I feel an improvement and see the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’. I am undergoing intensive rehabilitation every day and learning as if I were 18 years old,” Malikian said, adding that he will come back to stage on March 2 in Huelva.
