Renowned Brazilian-Armenian jeweler Ara Vartanian designed a trophy for the SP Open, a WTA tournament set to take place in São Paulo in September 2025.
Inspired by the Marco Zero—a landmark installed in 1934 in the heart of São Paulo—the trophy symbolizes the starting point for the numbering of the city’s streets.
Weighing 10 kilograms, the trophy took four months to craft and measures 53 x 53 x 25 centimeters.
