Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I received the newly appointed Ambassador of Greece to Lebanon, Despina Koukoulopoulou, on February 6, the press center of the Catholicosate reported.
“Aram I outlined the structure and mission of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia and touched upon the current situation in Lebanon, especially the economic crisis and the work related to the presidential election.
The Catholicos spoke about his pastoral visit to the Greek Archdiocese last year and the meetings he held with the Prime Minister and the spiritual leader of the Church.
The ambassador, in turn, informed the Patriarch about the current policy of the Greek government, in general, in the Middle East and, in particular, in Lebanon,” the Catholicosate said in a press release.
