Aram I to deliver opening prayer in US House of Representatives

Congressman Adam Schiff invited Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I to deliver an opening prayer in the US House of Representatives, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) reported.

The morning prayer will be broadcast live on C-SPAN channel and will be included in the Congressional Record. It will also be live-streamed on the ANCA Facebook and X pages. The prayer is scheduled to start at approximately 9:00 am on Thursday.

In September 2022, His Holiness Aram I was elected President of the World Council of Churches.
