Dozens of people from different parts of Armenia come to Kirants and express their support for our compatriots in Tavush, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Primate of the Tavush Diocese, told Alpha News.

“Today the parents of our fallen heroes joined us. The flow of our compatriots does not stop; they come and express their support. Rumors are spreading that the authorities are trying to take steps with the help of police forces, but these are just rumors,” said the Primate of the Diocese.

According to the Primate, the entire demarcation process is based on lies and falsifications.

“There are different issues in this whole process. We have always insisted that this unilateral process of concessions should not take place. If demarcation and delimitation are to be carried out, they must be complete. You cannot simply cede part of the territory to the enemy, moreover, without any guarantees. It was not me who said this. The head of the country said this. In a conversation with people, he said that whether we surrender the villages or not, there are still no guarantees that there will be no war. The weird thing is that it is not the leader of a hostile country who threatens war, but the leader of his own country who threatens his own people. They have mixed up everything in the country and want us to obediently agree that they are doing the right thing.

This entire process is hard for villagers. And it turns out that no matter what these people do or how they behave, in the end they will be blamed,” Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan said.
