Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan Yezras Nersisyan consecrated a new Armenian church built in the Russian city of Rubtsovsk.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Armenian communities of different cities in Russia.

The day before, the local Armenians took part in the pre-consecration ceremony of the church (“Navakatik”). Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, accompanied by Priest Sepukh Amiryan, consecrated the crosses on the dome of the church and the bell of the bell tower.

“Our soul rejoices. For living far from the homeland, you have not forgotten the God of your fathers, you have remained faithful to spiritual and national values,” the Archbishop noted in his sermon.

The head of the diocese presented the Holy Scriptures to the newly consecrated church.
