Archbishop’s authority would have enabled formation of equally strong front against government – Hovhannes Khudoyan

The Archbishop’s authority would have allowed for an equally strong front to be opened against the government, awyer Hovhannes Khudoyan told Alpha News when asked about whether the opposition’s proposal to nominate Archbishop Mikael as a prime minister candidate could have guaranteed his safety.

“I don’t think it would have guaranteed his safety at that point, but his authority and ratings could have helped open a front against the authorities on equal terms,” the lawyer said.

According to him, this could be one of the most probable and effective scenarios.
