Arman Abovyan: These people do not fit the role of defenders of Armenia’s vital interests
The historical and real ethnopolitical units are the right and left sides of the brain, and if the right and left sides are in conflict with each other, this is a medical problem, political analyst Arman Abovyan told Alpha News, commenting on yesterday’s speech by Nikol Pashinyan, during which the latter separated the concept of historical Armenia from real Armenia.
“If we want to understand the conflict between historical and real Armenia, we must momentarily forget the moments of our direct emotional perception of Armenia and try to understand it in an anti-scientific way. There has not been and cannot be a single case in the world when any historical ethnopolitical element opposed the reality of the same ethnopolitical element, that is, the state and the people. There are bitter, bad, and good pages in history. To make it more clear, historical and real ethno-political units are the right and left sides of the brain.
If the right and left sides are in conflict with each other, then this is a different problem, a medical one, since we consider the state a large organism. The statement that the Republic of Armenia, like all states, is abnormal carries with it a conflict between the right and left sides of the brain. Why is this obviously fictitious and false idea being propagated? There is no other way to explain all the failures of this government and the disasters that they bring to their people,” Arman Abovyan said.
The political analyst is confident that today’s government members are simply unable to protect Armenia’s vital interests.
“Perhaps this is unintentional, but it does not work for these people, because with their entire vision, their life, and their experience, they do not fit the role of defenders of the vital interests of the Republic of Armenia,” he said.
According to the analyst, history cannot be forgotten; one just needs to be able to learn from it.
“If we are talking about a historical event, then we must remember that, for example, today is the day of the massacre of Armenians in Maragha. Speaking about the historical conflict, they urge us to forget about the Maragha massacre. However, the Armenian Foreign Ministry did not forget about this and issued a statement, thereby contradicting the current government. If you do not perceive your history as a process on the basis of which you must, firstly, build a state and secondly, learn lessons, then you are doomed to constantly fall into the same, conditional, historical loop. Neither Pashinyan nor Mirzoyan nor Grigoryan nor Simonyan are the ones who should decide this.
They cannot sit down, the four of them, and decide that matsun is black. Now they are trying to convince us that our problem is that the matsun is not white, and we should give up this and perceive the matsun as black, because Turkey and Azerbaijan like this black matsun, and the white color of the matsun irritates them,” Arman Abovyan concluded.
