UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan, currently ranked No. 2 in the division, has shared his thoughts on when he plans to end his professional fighting career.
“I’m 29, and I should retire in about seven years—at 36 or 37. My physical peak will be at 31. From 31 to 34, and for another two or three years after that, I’ll be able to compete thanks to the experience I’ve gained. But right now, I can’t even imagine life without sports,” Tsarukyan said on his YouTube channel.
On November 22, Tsarukyan is scheduled to face Dan Hooker at UFC Fight Night 265 in Doha, Qatar.
Tsarukyan last stepped into the octagon in April 2024 at UFC 300, where he defeated Charles Oliveira via split decision. His record stands at 22 wins and 3 losses.
Hooker’s most recent bout was in August 2024 at UFC 305, where he also won via split decision against Mateusz Gamrot. His record is 24 wins and 12 losses.
