The Nevada State Athletic Commission issued a nine-month suspension to UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan. He will be fined $25,000 for throwing punches at a fan during his walkout at UFC 300 in April.
The fine, however, may be reduced to six months if Tsarukyan participates in an anti-bullying public service announcement.
The Commission said the incident “could have been catastrophic for everyone involved” and that “repeat actions will be dealt with much more severely.”
On April 13, Tsarukyan defeated Brazil’s Charles Oliveira by split decision at UFC 300. Tsarukyan threw a punch after a fan appeared to direct a middle finger at him during his walkout.
