At a plenary session of the Majilis, the lower house of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, an agreement between the governments of Armenia and Kazakhstan was ratified. The agreement aims to regulate migration processes and strengthen bilateral cooperation.

According to the agreement, the relevant authorities of both countries will exchange data on citizens residing in each other’s territories, as well as information on violations of migration laws. This will enable more effective efforts to combat illegal migration and cases of dual citizenship.

The agreement also simplifies travel procedures: citizens of Kazakhstan will be able to enter Armenia using their national ID cards, while Armenian citizens may stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 90 days. After this period, they can apply for a temporary residence permit for work, study, business, or other purposes.
