Armenia confirms participation in CIS Council of Heads of Government meeting, will decide format of attendance

Armenia will decide on the format of its participation in the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Igor Petrishenko, First Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, told journalists.

“Armenia has also confirmed its participation. This matter is currently being discussed. It’s up to the Armenian side to determine the most effective format for its involvement. Therefore, they will make that decision,” he said in response to a question from RIA Novosti about whether Armenia would attend the meeting.

The meeting will be held in Minsk, Belarus, on September 29, and the agenda is expected to include 14 issues.
