Armenia convenes meeting due to issues with its goods at Verkhny Lars checkpoint

Armenia will convene an emergency meeting within the framework of the EAEU. The reason is the non-acceptance by Russia of some of its cargo through the Verkhny Lars checkpoint, Armenian Ministry of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told reporters during a briefing.

“We are studying data published by the Rosselkhoznadzor to understand how the products of our businessmen do not comply with the norms in Russia. It is strange that 35 vehicles were returned throughout the year, and then another 35 vehicles were returned two days later, while the quality of the goods did not change. We will convene an emergency meeting within the framework of the EAEU, which will be held within two days,” he added.
