Armenia has a new Saakashvili in the person of Pashinyan – Dimitri Lortkipanidze
The style of governance of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is very similar to the debut of the former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili: pompousness, “outburst of the soul,” and the wish to reach the Western “ephemeral conglomerate,” which Georgia was never able to reach, having lost its sovereignty, Dimitri Lortkipanidze, the member of the Georgian Parliament of the Seventh Convocation, told Alpha News.
“I believe that Armenia and Georgia should have one destiny. Georgia and Armenia are small states; both are Christian, and, of course, we must protect each other and be a positive role model for each other to achieve those goals that will be for the benefit of our peoples. Since Georgia is now choosing a multi-vector policy, I believe Armenia can also follow this multi-vector policy, and the relations between Armenia and Russia should remain intact. No one should have a right to destructively influence Armenian-Russian special relations,” he said.
According to Lortkipanidze, these relations must be preserved.
“I understand that all this is due to the actions of the West, which has a very negative impact on these relations. It is very difficult to withstand since Armenia has a new Saakashvili in the person of Pashinyan. So, it is imperative to take into account the mistakes that Saakashvili himself made during his office and the mistakes that we, the public, made when we did not pay special attention to preventing such a painful, vicious rule. And you see in what situation we have ended up,” the Georgian politician emphasized.
