Armenia has ‘fallen into the West’s trap’ – Mikael Aghasandyan

Russia hopes that Armenia will not leave the EAEU because of the United States and the EU, said Mikael Aghasandyan, Director of the First Department of the CIS Countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry.  

According to him, Russian-Armenian relations within the EAEU are based on mutually beneficial cooperation, and it is beneficial for Yerevan to be in the EAEU.  

Aghasandyan noted that Armenia has “fallen into the West’s trap,” which promises only investments, technology and a bright future, and “everyone knows very well what comes out of it.”
