Armenia improves its position in exporters ranking

According to the World’s Top Exports platform, the world level of exports in 2023 exceeded 23 trillion dollars, with China and the United States being the export leaders.
Armenia was ranked 104th, improving its position by 57.7% compared to the previous period—the highest figure in the region.
It should be noted that precious stones and metals occupy a dominant position in exports from Armenia. This means that external factors have contributed to this growth. These factors stem from the cooperation with the EAEU, especially with Russia.
It is not by chance that 40.4% of exports from Armenia go to Russia. This is a natural development, especially in recent years, which persists to this day.
In particular, the trade turnover between Armenia and the EAEU has doubled this year, and the total trade turnover with Russia alone amounts to 41.4%.
To sum up, we note that the actual growth of foreign trade is mainly driven by external factors coming from the Eurasian and Russian markets.
