City of Smile Foundation Executive Director Esther Demirchyan told Alpha News that the foundation’s core mission is to cover the costs of treating children with cancer and hematological diseases, or to provide the treatment directly.
The foundation funds treatment for individuals under 25, covering all expenses. According to Demirchyan, Armenia has a high cure rate among children—approximately 70-75%.
“One of the most important principles of our work over the past seven to eight years is that it doesn’t matter where a child is born or who their parents are—they should receive treatment on equal terms and fight their illness. We provide everything necessary, and the rest is left to nature,” she added.
