Armenia is not at center of Donald Trump’s attention — Robert Margaryan

For US President-elect Donald Trump, the Middle East is more important than Armenia, political scientist Robert Margaryan told Alpha News.
“Armenia is not at the center of Donald Trump’s attention. Experience has shown that the Middle East is more important than Armenia. Based on this problem, Soros followers are worried that they will lose their positions in Armenia; they have recently started to infiltrate their people in security and law enforcement agencies. They probably assume that there will be some changes.
In case of changes, they will try to somehow maintain their leverage, at least in the law enforcement agencies, so as not to lose their control. Now we need to wait to see in which direction the policy will develop after Trump comes to power,” he said.
The political scientist believes that the activity of Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan on social media is not at all linked with the election in 2026. According to Margaryan, there will be big changes in the political sphere after the New Year.
“We do not have a bright future under this government. The most logical solution is, of course, to get rid of them, after which you can start from scratch. I do not think that all this will last until 2026. I believe after the New Year we will witness very serious political developments in Armenia.
The activity that Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan have been showing lately suggests that all this is not for 2026, because when you run a campaign of this level, it reaches a peak at some point, and it will be very difficult for them to keep it until the 2026 election. They started that activity too soon. It means that all this is not for 2026,” Robert Margaryan concluded.
