Armenia is one of key participants of Eurasian Transport Network, EDB Chief says
Speaking with Alpha News, Nikolai Podguzov, Chair of the Management Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), commented on Armenia’s participation in the Eurasian Transport Network.
“When it comes to participation in the Eurasian Transport Network, Armenia is one of the key players. We say that we need routes not only from the west to the east but also from the north to the south. And a number of routes from the north to the south go through Armenia. Here we will develop separate projects,” Podguzov said during the annual meeting of the EDB and business forum in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that the EDB prepares the concept of the Eurasian Transport Network, aimed at strengthening transport connectivity in Eurasia and boosting economic development, trade, and mobility in the region.
The Eurasian Transport Network is a system of international transport corridors and routes stretching over 50,000 km.
