At the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the importance of political coherence and solidarity “in the face of current global and regional security threats.”

According to him, “in the emerging new international security architecture, the Organization of Turkic States has significant potential to play a more prominent role—as a symbol of united efforts.”

“Azerbaijan’s consistent efforts and targeted actions aimed at normalizing relations with Armenia also serve the cause of establishing peace and stability in our region,” Bayramov said.

He added that the summit held on August 8 in the United States and the documents signed there are of historic significance.

“To properly seize this historic opportunity and conclude a peace treaty, Armenia must renounce the territorial claims against Azerbaijan enshrined in its Constitution,” Bayramov said.
