Armenia has submitted the 10th draft peace treaty to Azerbaijan, and this variant includes a fully agreed text, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said in a joint press conference with his Luxembourgish counterpart Xavier Bettel, confirming that there is a real possibility to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in a short time.
“There are points that were previously fully agreed upon, and there are snippets of different articles that we managed to agree on. Actually and technically, the text is fully agreed. And our proposal is to sign what has already been agreed,” Mirzoyan said.
According to him, Yerevan is currently waiting for Baku’s response. “We believe that there is a real opportunity to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in a short period of time and thus open a page and an era of durable peace and stability in the South Caucasus region,” he said.
Mirzoyan added that Armenia’s approaches are well known. “We are ready to immediately start the process of unblocking communications within the principles enshrined in the concept of the Crossroads of Peace project,” he said.
